q&a

Biola has recently changed their chapel policy to ensure more accountability. I asked Nathanael Emanaker, a senior who was on his way to his British Literature class, how he felt about the new policies.

Should Biola require students to attend chapel?
Well, some students that are forced to go end up messing around in chapel. If they don't require it, students will abuse it and not go. But some will still go and get something out of it. So I think they shouldn't.

Should there be consequences for students who choose not to attend?
Definitely not a monetary one. Students are already poor, so it's unfair.

What should they do instead?
They should be more strict with the chapel policy or something, definitely not charge us money while tuition is already so high.
