And...another On-the-Street interview

And by "on-the-street," I mean "in-the-library," which is stressful because everyone is so focused on their homework and quietness is encouraged. Not the most conducive setting for an interview.

I asked Samantha, a senior, what the hardest part is about being a student at Biola this semester.

It took her awhile to think of an answer; she seemed to be contemplating a few options in her head. After a few moments, she said that for this semester specifically, the hardest part was parking. With the construction happening on various parts of our campus, spaces can be nearly impossible to find at certain hours of the day.

"You kind of have to plan your day around parking," she said. Samantha deals with this struggle by coming to school very early. She had to end the interview immediately after this comment because a student was waiting to be helped.

Samantha was very willing to be interviewed, but I wish I had the time to just ask her one more question: how she felt about the parking situation. I would have liked to hear a visceral reaction to the fact that she has to come so early, but next time I will question someone who looks like they have more time to spare and isn't in the middle of their work shift.
