Video Killed the Radio Star

Today in class, we got the privilege of learning from Dave Denholm, a sports radio host. He has had a lot of professional experience, and I felt extremely lucky to be hearing his story and getting advice from him on thriving as a journalist.

Our assignment was to head out on campus with a FlipCam in one hand and no real assignment. Basically, we had to pick a topic and shoot something. We decided that, in light of the recent Torrey Conference, we'd ask someone what their experience was like with the technology fast.

We got some good info from our subject, Cody Wagner. Zach Mendelson acted as our interviewer and I was the videographer. The interview itself was, well, kind of awkward, but overall, we got some good answers from him about how the technology fast affected him.

If we were to do the project over, we agreed that we'd prepare our questions beforehand instead of winging it to make for a more seamless segment. Hopefully, we will be able to integrate this when we do the assignment again on Wednesday.
